FETCH Photos of the Month
February 2007
For this month’s best photo, we thought we’d highlight Pandora, an American pit bull terrier mix, who won Best in Show in Dogster’s Second Animal World’s Coolest Dog Show. Leslie Nuccio, Pandora’s owner, was thrilled with the victory. An Oakland resident, Leslie entered photos of her dogs Pandora and Guther just for fun and was delighted when Pandora became a finalist in Best Smile and Best Jumper categories. When it was announced that Pandora won for Best in Show, Pandora gushed in her Dogster blog, “Thanks to Dogster, all my pals, and even Gunther, for making me look so fabbo in comparison. (Sorry Gunther, but we all know who the superstar is.)” Gunther was a good sport about it all, and allowed Pandora to bask in her fifteen minutes of fame. Pandora arrived in Leslie’s life 6 years ago when a mom dog gave birth to a litter in the middle of the street. Mom and her pups were taken in by BADRAP (www.badrap.org), a local rescue and education group. Leslie became a foster parent and then a failed foster parent when she officially adopted the dog months later. Pandora obtained her Canine Good Citizen certification, and pitches in to help other rescued and fostered pit bulls by socializing (and tolerating) them with Leslie. To visit Pandora’s Dogster Page go to www.dogster.com/dogs/426.

The last month of summer was overflowing with events for pets and their people. If you didn’t attend one of these events this year, plan ahead for next year.
