Come celebrate companion animals at the first annual Bay Area Pet Fair & Adoptathon, September 9 & 10, at the Marin Center in San Rafael. Complete Fair Guide inside this issue.
Come
see Dancing Paws (pictured right) at the Pet Fair, including two-and-a-half-year-old
Koji Kondo, who was adopted from the Marin Humane Society when she
was six months old. Now residing in Novato with her doggy housemate,
six-year old Corgi Mushima, Koji enjoys All-Star wrestling matches
with Mr. Shigemitsu, the family cat. Koji’s specialty is her
tight spins and she will amaze you with her twirling. Her dance partner
is MHS dog training instructor, Donell Ellingson.
Featured events at the Fair include a multi agency adoptathon, Rockin’ Ray and the Amazing Skyy Dogs, Warren Eckstein broadcasting “The Pet Show” live from the Fair both days, and a very special Katrina rescue commemoration on Sunday.
In addition, you can enjoy freestyle (doggie dancing), agility, and flyball demos in the Performance Ring both days, educational seminars on the Stage, and lots of fun and learning in the Kids Pavilion. PLUS more than 100 exhibitors with treats, accessories, foods, and services for you and your pets.
