Gary Giacomini Open Space Preserve
Conifer Way
Woodacre …
Gary Giacomini Open Space Preserve runs along the north side of the San Geronimo Ridge between Sir Francis Drake and Fairfax-Bolinas Road. There’s lots of excitement and drama while driving on tiny winding roads, searching for the trail heads, and hoping there is availability for parking. The rugged, unsigned trail system is for serious hikers. Besides the surprisingly remote feeling of the Gary Giacomini Open Space Preserve , the main trail, San Geronimo Ridge Fire Road, offers amazing views of northern and western Marin County. On a clear fog-free day you can even see the Sugarloaf Ridge.
